Would Definitely Recommend
This was my first time buying a home and I had a positive experience with B of A. The agent I worked with extremely helpful and walked me through the entire process perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a home loan
Satisified
I was pretty satisfied with Bank of America.  I’ve been banking with them for my husband’s and my personal accounts and small merchant accounts.  Some branches are just ehhh, but overall, they’re pretty solid as a mortgage lender and have good customer service.  No real complaints.
Awesome Service
They gave me awesome service and even helped me compare their loan to other lenders.  They ultimately had the best rate and I could not have asked for more.  Much better than my last bank
So Bitter with B of A
I am so bitter with Bank of America that I pledged to never bank with them.  A few years ago I had so many problems with their Tempe Arizona branch.  They wouldn’t credit deposits on time and then would charge late fees galore once your account bounced.  My girlfriend at the time deposited $500 into an ATM at a Scottsdale branch, and the deposit never went through and the cash never showed up???  I know depositing cash into the ATM wasn’t the brightest move, but I know that an employee stole it.  I watched her deposit the cash (MY money) myself.
Pleased
I’m pleased with my local Bank of America branch.  The service is great and many of the employees know me by name.  In this busy day, that’s hard to come by.  They have great access to your accounts with their website which is extremely convenient.  A solid recommendation for BofA.
No Fee Mortgage?
I was just pre-approved for Bank of America’s No-Fee Mortgage.  Based on what I’ve done so far with them, It really does seem that there aren’t any lender fees involved.  Although I’m not done comparing rates with other lenders, I think I’ll end up with Bank of America once I finally close on a condo that I like.  If anyone else has any experiences with this particular loan please post it up.  I want to hear No Fee loan reviews since this is a different product.
Just closed

I just closed a house with a B of A no fee mortgage and there were truly no fees. It was a refreshing and wonderful experience! Their rates were also a quarter-point lower than anyone else's. I'm not sure how or why they're doing it, but it is as good as it sounds.

Fast Approval!  Higher Rates?
It might be my credit, but I think that Bank of America’s rates are about .25 percent higher than some of the other popular lenders.  I’ve spoken with them on several occasions and the rates were always higher.  They’re approval process was easier than most other lenders, but just watch out for their interest rates.
They play fair.
Bank of America is a good bank to work with.  They’re reputable, have local branches everywhere, and really do work to get your business.  It was a bit-intimidating going to such a large bank, but their services and reputation make up for that scare.  Overall, I’d say they play fairly by the books.
Great!
I just left Countrywide and transferred my mortgage over to Bank of America.  I couldn’t have been happier to get away from c-wide.  They were terrible!
Personalized Attention
We did our Heloc in 2006 with Bank of America and thought they were actually pretty decent.  They were upfront with their costs and have the name of a big bank behind them.  We checked out some of the popular lenders (Ameriquest, Countrywide, etc) and didn’t feel we would get the personalized attention that Bank of Americas branches could provide.
They Messed Up and Then Our Payments Jumped!
I refinanced with B of A in April ’06 and had problems with their reporting of real estate taxes.  There hadn’t been an increase in our neighborhood after checking with the city office.  Anyway, they ended up messing up the paperwork and now our payments jumped over $300 a month.  This was quite a let down for us as we have a high mortgage as it is.  Had they told us this and did our loan correctly, we wouldn’t face this problem.
They're Okay
I had a few problems with Bank of America not crediting my mortgage payments in a timely manner, but after a few phone calls they’ve been able to straighten it out each time.  I think the secret to bofa is to find a local branch where you like the staff.  I’ve found some of them to be rather rude at various locations.
A Few Hassles Along the Way
My wife and I refinanced in 2006 with BankofAmerica.  We had some problems with the paperwork and ended up going back to the office numerous times before the errors on their end were straightened out.  Can't say I love em, can't say I hate em.
Look Elsewhere
I think they're too big for their own good.  You'll get better service through a local lender in your town.
