Chase is a joke

Chase loan bought out my most recent loan. Since then, I had some flood damage to my house due to a faulty water pipe.. My ins. company was extremely helpful to work on the problem. I had several estimates and my ins. company quickly sent me a check to cover the damage, pay Chase and the contracting company who was making repairs. Initially, I paid the contractor to speed up the repair process. Now, Chase has decided to hold the checks until ninety percent of the work is finished. I don’t even owe 1/3 rd of my property value and I still have to pull teeth to get these repairs done. I have been living on bare flooring with nails and splinters all over. Chase is refusing to endorse the check for the work I paid for out of my own personal bank account. Chase is a complete joke and should be reported to the BBB at any available chance you get.

Terrible Experience
Chase is terrible. I've been dealing with a problem for over a year. It started with an error in understanding between our school taxing authority and Chase. That issue never was resolved, the school tax payment was delinquent, and subsequently was levied on our town tax the
following year. Since they assured me the problem would be resolved, I had assumed it was. Bad me.

The following year, we receive an escrow analysis that was nearly double what it should be. Chase did not take into account that the school tax was added to the town tax, and assumed
that our town tax more than doubled and adjusted our escrow payments accordingly. I immediately called them about this and have since explained the situation over and over again, with precise clarity. Every time, they seem to fail to figure out the problems involved in resolving the issue. It is such a simple miscalculation to fix. It has been going on over THREE months now and the problem is still not resolved. I have complained to the Better Business Bureau. Maybe in another three months I might have the problem resolved... maybe.

Chase Bank Sucks
Chase bank sucks. They pay people to call you when you are late on payments but they only want money from you. They wont work with you.  Their service really sucks. Go ahead and forclose. F*** them.  They deserive to lose the money.
I will never recommend or use Chase for anything

Chase Has created a pattern with charging excessive amounts for insurance and then reporting you delinquent. Bad part is I have insurance and they still want me to pay. Same as before they bought the loan and charged me for insurance I don’t need (2900 for what cost 1500 for a year) and covers less than my policy. Maybe we should look at a class action?

Discouraged and Disappointed
I am definitely discourgaged and disappointed in my Chase account. When my broker signed me with Chase I had a decent but not great rate due to slow payments. I was out of work for over a year and due to late payments my rate and my house payment has more than doubled. What started off with a payment of around 350 is now $700.00.

Over the last year I have tried to talk to someone to help me, maybe with a lower rate and payments I could afford but I have only encountered very rude downright hateful reps. Only one woman has even come close to being nice and helpful. I guess my only option now is to let Chase foreclose on my mortgage. It will Be hard for Chase to sell my home. In our community of about 15,000 in our local paper there is at least 6 to 10 foreclosures weekly. I don't want to lose my home but can't seem to talk to anyone who is willing to work with me and help me save my home. Thanks. Joyce Preacher
Don't have the answers
I have had my home financed through chase for 3 years all of a  sudden I get a letter saying tht my flood insurance deductible is to high and doesn't meet their guidelines. I ignore it and then I get a letter saying that my flood insurance is not enough for the house. Why didn't they tell me this when I first got the house not 3 years down the road. Now I am having to purchase more insurance. They are terrible and no one has any answers to my questions.
Chase does not know what they're doing
Chase does not know what they are doing.  Our mortgage was sold to them about six years ago and we have had nothing but headaches.  They will not report our mortgage to the credit beaures, so it is making it impossible to even refinance with someone else.  Which the reporting may not be a bad thing considering they claim we are late on mortgage payments.  When I have tried to work things out about these problems, after being on hold for at least 30 minutes of cours, customer service is not helpful at all.  Each time I talk to a different person I would get different answers about these matters.  I was trying to see exactly what I owed to get matters straightened out and each person would tell me different amounts.  Not just off a few dollars, hundreds, from the previous customer service rep.  This sounds like fraud.  I wish I could just get away
They treated me like family
The reason I went with Chase was that they were able to help me out and had a solution to my bad credit problem.  I needed to finance my new place while I still had a loan on my old place ( I hadn’t sold it yet) and they bent over backwards for me.  They knew what I was going to need and took care of everything like family.
Very satisfied
I’ve been extremely satisfied with Chase.  I have been renting since college and mid 2006, I decided to buy my first place.  I called a lot of the major lenders like Ameriquest, Ditech, and Lendingtree; however, Chase was there to answer my every question.  I  didn’t have the best credit,  but they worked around this and got me into a loan that works perfectly for me.  I get a bill, I pay the bill, and life goes on with absolutely no problem.  I would definitely recommend them.
They're okay, but slow in processing
I lost my house due to the Hurricane 2 years ago. I feel I’m a good customer with great credit as I have never missed a payment or been delinquent on my loan payment. When I got the first check from my ins. co, I sent it to Chase so they could take care of our loan account as needed.. Anytime that I needed more money I had to handle mountains of paperwork for them to budge and even then it would take 2-3 weeks for a check to arrive.

We had settled with the ins. company, but. contractors were wondering why it was taking us so long to pay them. This whole thing has been a bit sketchy. My biggest Chase house finance complaints is that I swear they hold the money collecting interest and then delay distributing it when we are already in debt twice over. My new house is almost finished. I’m waiting for a final inspection from Chase loan as they told me they would Finally release me the funds. However, I’m still paranoid after reading other Chase house finance reviews.

I won't work with Chase again.
My biggest Chase Bank complaint is that they did not apply my funds correctly. They never sent my statements to the correct address, and they didn’t call me even though they had my phone number on file. This ended up with my loan in delinquency and foreclosure proceeding that cost me and my wife over $3000 to correct. Chase Bank customer service didn’t help in clearing up their error and instead only added to our foreclosure fees. I will never work with Chase bank again. If you’re looking for a positive Chase Home Financel user rating, you won’t find it here.
Sucks
Chase bought out my home loan earlier this year (2006). My family owns unassessed property. The bank ended up taking property taxes for several of our shared parcels out of or escrow account w/o our permission. My monthly mortgage payment went up $800 and I’m left sitting here wondering what to do since I can’t make my mortgage payment. I called Chase Banks customer service number and they refuse to help us in this. They are refusing to take any payment and won’t even put is in touch with an Escrow manager or supervisor. As of right now, I am planning on writing a leter to the Office of Comptroller of Currency to make an official Chase mortgage complaint. Chase Banks Sucks.
They didn't post my payments promptly
I’m having problems with them constantly reporting my payment as late. I always pay on time and yet sometimes they wait 2-3 weeks before processing the payment! This makes no sense to me unless they are intentionally doing in order to charge customer late fees. They have reported us to the credit agency when we have proof that we have mailed payments on time and have NEVER been late! This seems dishonest to me. They are ruining my credit slowly every day.
Friendly service, but they're sooooo slow
I was overcharged for my PMI on my condo since January, 2005. My closing documents had a charge of $45.23. for the PMI, but since they, They have charged my account $80. I called Chase Customer Service to report their error. After a month of phone calls back and forth they recognized their mistake and agreed to send me a refund. Well, it took them 6 months for them to see this refund. I have wasted hours of time on hold with them all for no apparent good reason. Other than that, they have been somewhat friendly and did offer me a good rate, but its frustrating dealing with a bank who takes forever to assist their customers.
Random charges, paperwork errors, oh my
Chase bought out my mortgage in late 2004. I had homeowners insurance and a flood protection policy period which passed. Chase ended up charging me for homeowners insurance all the way back to 2002, even though they didn’t service my loan until ’04. Because of this, chase loan has reported my account as delinquent and has charged me for numerous late fees and damaged my credit. Other Chase Home Loan testimonial will attest to this being a common practice of theirs. They charge you late fees, damage your credit, and take months to clean up the mess.
Save yourself a headache
I’m not sure where the Chase Bank Customer Service is located, but they have the worst customer service I've ever encountered in my life. Their oversea reps are rude, incompetent, and can barely speak English. If you ask to speak with a chase customer support supervisor, they tell you that they do not have one or that they can’t answer the phone. The more I research this company, I can sympathize with all of the Chase Bank complaints. Save yourself the headaches and just deal with a local small town lender. I refinanced just to get away from them.
They're okay - not bad, not great
I have had some minor issues with Chase Home Finance, but nothing major. After I read some of the negative chase home finance reviews, I do want to add that I find their customer service people to be polite, listen to what I say, and have been prompt in tacking issues in a timely manner.

However, I’ll be honest and say that I was not impressed with my original loan agent. I found her to be less than helpful. She didn’t seem to listen to my needs and concerns and seemed rush to sign me into the first loan that came across my path. If it weren’t for her, I’d say that I’ve had a very positive Chase Mortgage experience. All she had to do was admit to a few small errors on her end, but she was so stubborn to admit any guilt that she delayed my closing by almost a week. She insisted that I made the mistake. Overall, I give Chase an average user rating.
