 A Terrible Experience |
I had a terrible experience with Green Tree Mortgage. I applied with them back in June ’06 and was not approved until October. They offered me a verbal appraisal for a loan, but then backed out of this appraisal when the paperwork was complete and denied me the extra $30,000. I couldn’t get a hold of the agent for some time. It was a very long and frustrating process. |
 We Couldn't be Happier |
| We went with Greentree as our good friends had referred us. Anyway, we worked with a woman named Kathleen who was great. She explained the whole process and made us feel important. They gave us a great deal and we couldn’t be happier. I would definitely work with Kathleen again. |
| Greentree was Great |
| I ended up going with Greentree to refinance my last home loan. I couldn’t get a loan from a few of the bigger banks because I was self employed. Anyway, they took care of me from start to finish and my loan officer was great! |
| They Misapplied my Payments |
| Just noticed that in my last statement they documented that none of my principal was applied to my loan last year. They somehow misapplied payments as my loan balance is going up and not down. I complained about this and all they said was Thanks for notifying us of the situation. Aren’t they going to do anything? |
 Rude Customer Service |
Greentree bought my mortgage. My original payments of $301 increased twice to over $400 now. We don’t have an ARM or anything, but they can’t seem to explain why the payments have jumped. They’ve been very rude on the phone in this situation. Even if we are at fault, there is no reason to be rude and unprofessional..
