What a Nightmare!
I was expecting my mortgage with Priceline to be a piece of cake.

The husband and I have a perfect credit history and a good amount of equity in our home in Arizona. Our approval and paperwork went smoothly without a flaw. However, the processing time took forever. It took 5 weeks and they still had not any information on what was taking our loan paperwork so long.

I ended up speaking to well over 10 people, loan officers, supervisors etc and not one was able to help me out or apply themselves to investigating our situation. Every time I called, someone was unavailable or out for the day. I tried email, supervisers, and everyone I could to no avail.

Looking at other mortgage reviews for Priceline, I should hav known better. I truly wish we had refinanced our mortgage elsewhere.
Don't Waste your time
I used Priceline about 5 years ago to refinance my mortgage. My loan was originally with a different mortgage lender; however, I wanted to refinance my mortgage and get a better mortgage rate.

It ended up taking weeks for the approval to go through, even though I was verbally approved within 24 hours. This added 4 weeks to the process. I ended up filling out paperwork again to expedite my mortgage application, which they told me would help.

When it came time for the appraiser to view the properyty, she ended up cancelling on us twice which was a complete headache. This added another week to our mortgage review process.
I called customer service to complain and also inquire what was taking so long and I found them to be borderline rude. They didn't pay attention to my needs and seemed anxious to get me off the phone. I would avoid Priceline mortgage like the plague. It had been nothing but problems for me when I refinanced my mortgage
Priceline Mortgage Review? - Don't Do It!
About 3 years ago, I sought out a home loan with Priceline Mortgage.  At the time, they had this option where you can ‘Name Your Own Rate.  Using this, they wanted my CC# and said that if they could find my named rate they would charge my visa a $250 application fee which wasn’t refundable. I agreed and entered a request for a lower, but reasonable rate. It turns out that they weren’t able to meet my rate and offered me a slightly higher rate.

I thought the rate was a bit too much than what I was anticipating, so I declined their offer, Depite this, they still decided that it would be okay to go ahead and charge my credit card the $250!  I called customer support and spoke with someone on the phone who was basically rude and said that since I had agreed and clicked that I would have to go through with my home loan. I said no and hit the Reject offer button on their website.  Well, despite this they shipped me the loan application paperwork and requested an appraisal on my home without my permission!  This was after I told them no, verbally and online.

I began to worry, thinking that they could legally make me refinance my home with Priceline!  I ended up having to call my bank and dispute the charges, and ultimately ended up threatening them with legal action before they finally backed down.  It was like they had no remorse and were excited to screw me over royally.  Their customer service was rude, inconsiderate and not flexible in the least.  After all was said and done, they never called to verify, officially close, or even apologize for almost having to go to court over this.  My priceline mortgage review is that they suck.  Do NOT do business with them.

Excellent
I purchased my house a few year s ago and got a fairly decent interest rate (6.75). Recently, I thought it might be a good idea to go ahead an consider refinancing my mortgage.  I called around and the best I could find was only a few percentage points at around 6.5 plus I would have to incur other fees in making the switch.  I ended up checking out Priceline and got a much better rate than everyone I had checked, even after checking the big websites like Bankrate.com.  With Priceline I was able to get a 6.375% rate and they actually offered me a much lower rate, but I decided to skip that so that I could take care of most of my closing costs.  I ended up getting a great rate and basically next to nothing out of my pocket.

It took about 30 days for the entire closing process to be complete since I first logged onto the Priceline Mortgage website.  I thought their Customer support team did a great job in answering my questions and returning my phone calls promptly.  They emailed me at just about every step of the process so I knew exactly what was going on.  My Priceline Mortgage review is a good one, definitely check them out!
Priceline is worth a look.
I refinanced my home with Priceline about 3 years ago and overall I think I was pretty satisfied with the 15 yr fixed rate that they were offering during that time.  There were some fees and closing costs of around $1500, but I figured that I could recoup those fees within 12 months.

Well, they ended up selling my mortgage to Washington Mutual, which is a fairly standard practice (I’m told, but what bothered me was that Priceline Mortgage ended up selling a lot of  my personal and financial information  information to third party companies.  So I started getting all of this spam email and junkmail from companies that had information about my work history, my mortgage, etc.  I would expect them to have some sort of privacy policy in place when it comes to issues such as your credit history, loan application data, and other personal info.  Although, they never admitted to it, I KNEW it was them because they were the only people that I went to to refinance my loan!

Despite this, I still felt that I’d give a positive priceline mortgage review.  Their customer service was helpful and attentive to my needs and walked me through refinancing my home loan at every step of the way.

Very Pleased
Overall, I had a very positive experience with Priceline. In fact, it was one of the easiest transactions that I’ve ever completed.

I had shopped around a bit with a few online mortgage brokers and local banks to refinance my arm; however, none could offer me the rate that Priceline loan did.

My experience with my loan officer and Priceline customer service was exceptional. Prompt, Friendly, Knowledgeable – Enough said!

I would definitely recommend Priceline mortgage if you’re considering a new home lender.
Didn't work out
When interest rates began to drop about 2 years ago, I decided to shop around so that I could refinance my mortgage. Everything went smoothly; however after a month or so I had to come up with a $1000 deposit to lock in the rate that I was originally offered while the home was appraised and the paperwork was complete. I felt it was their fault for not being able to complete the paperwork in time so I struggled to have them waive the fee.

I contacted Priceline customer service several times to have this straightened out and in the end they would not waive the fee. Had they waived this stupid fee that was their fault they probably would have had a satisfied customer. Many of my friends and family used Priceline mortgage and had very positive experiences. I know in their early stages, they had some problems, but now I think they have most of their act together. If you can get them to close in a timely manner, they’re probably not a bad home lender to work with.
