Never Again

I originally spoke with Wachovia and was told that they would over me a 6.625 rate and that my closing costs wouldn’t be more than 1K. A few people had warned me about this and had said it was a two story loan and that closing costs would definitely go over a grand. Anyway, by the time I closed my rate had changed and the closing costs were triple than ‘guaranteed’.

I will never do business with them again and will spend the rest of my life telling other people of how shady their business practices are. There are too many other good banks to consider than taking the chance and getting screwed by Wachovia.

Wachovia is Okay.

I have my mortgage and my personal bank accounts with Wachovia and have been a customer for the past few years. I like their personal account benefits (gift cards, etc) and haven’t had any complaints on my home loan. All in all, the staff is pretty professional and courteous. They have enough local branches to give me peace of mind in case anything comes up.

Watch Out for Wachovia

All I can say is watch out for Wachovia. Whether you use them for your personal banking or mortgage, you will eventually have problems with them.

Wachovia Complaints Don't Surprise Me

After reading several Wachovia reviews on this site and on a few others, it doesn’t surprise me to hear about other people having problems. They ripped my husband and I off over of $2,000. They never credited our payments on time, and lost an ATM deposit from our normal checking account with them. They have terrible customer service and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Wachovia Can Suck It

Wachovia can suck it. They are terrible at banking and even worse at managing home mortgages.

We'd Work With Them Again

My wife and I were in the market last year to move into a new home. We ended up going with Wachovia and felt they were friendly, returned phone calls in a timely matter, and were honest from the beginning. Their rates were comparable to a few of the other lenders we had spoken with.

Something Seems Fishy

I’ve had problems with Wachovia not crediting my payments to my home loan in a timely manner. Twice they’ve charged us late fees because of this. I have awesome credit and always pay my bills on time (same date every month, and usually about 10 days before they are due). However, I find it odd that several times I’ve had to dispute my payments with them because of this. Seems fishy to me.

Don't Trust Wachovia

I can't even beging to tell you the headache that I have experienced working Wachovia. All I can say is avoid them. Seriously.
